Sandwich University began when the founder noticed the incredible demand for late night grub around Rutgers University. The founder of Sandwich U, the nephew of the original R U Hungry? Grease Truck which created the #1 Sandwich in American voted by Maxim Magazine(now located at 146 Easton Ave) decided to expand the concept to other universities. He opened his first location at Penn State in 2005 as Are U Hungry. Due to the success of the first location he opened a second location in State College and a third location by West Virginia University in the two years since!  Penn State locations have been sold to focus on franchising the concept.

"Kings of the Fat Sandwich" is in no way an understatement.  Offering a wide selection of classic sandwiches that are filled with a combination of mozzarella sticks and fries, as well as our own Sandwich U creations.  Our unique sandwich offerings, combined with the college attitude and atmosphere, have led others to try and copy what we do but no one has been able to duplicate the standards we hold our product and service we provided the customers.
